Off-Loom Weaving

Saturday, April 29

Noon-3 p.m.

Lee Safety Complex

We will use a cardboard loom (provided) that you will string with several colors of string as your warp. For the weft we will utilize many unique materials to create a small weaving that may be used as a sculptural object or a wall hanging.

Materials will be provided however, please fee free to bring small amounts of yarns, strings, small sticks or anything you may have to use in your weaving (including colored garbage bags).

This class will serve as a basis for a procedure that can take on major proportions if you wish to expand the size to make larger pieces for art, lampshades, wall sconces or whatever your imagination may conceive.

Limited to 12 adults. No charge for the class. Please call 659-2626 to register.
